Privacy Policy

When you create a Seldmade account and manage your store, we collect:

· **Account information**: Your name, email address, and password (hashed).

· **Store information**: Store name, logo, banners, product listings, and categories.

· **Order data**: Customer names, phone numbers, addresses, and order details placed through your store.

· **Payment configuration**: Bank account names and numbers that you add for online transfers (stored securely).

· **Usage data**: Dashboard activity, pages visited, and feature usage (anonymised).

We use your data to:

· Provide and maintain the Seldmade platform.

· Process and display your store and its products to customers.

· Send you important notifications about your account or new features.

· Improve platform performance and user experience.

· Comply with legal obligations. We will never sell your data or your customers' data to third parties.

When customers place orders through your store, their data (name, phone, address) is stored on our servers on your behalf. As a merchant on Seldmade:

· You are responsible for handling your customers' data lawfully.

· You must not use customer data for purposes beyond fulfilling their orders.

· You must not share customer data with unauthorised third parties.

Seldmade uses cookies and browser local storage to:

· Keep you logged in to your dashboard.

· Remember your preferences (e.g. theme).

· Improve site performance. You can disable cookies via your browser settings, but this may prevent you from logging in.

Seldmade integrates with the following third-party services:

· **AWS S3**: Secure cloud storage for product images, banners, and payment screenshots.

· **WhatsApp Business API**: For sending order notifications to you and your customers.

· **MongoDB Atlas**: Hosted database service for storing all store and order data. Each service is bound by its own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

We take the security of your data seriously:

· Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.

· All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption).

· Access to databases is restricted to authorised systems only.

· We perform regular security reviews of our infrastructure.

We retain your account and store data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

· Your account data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

· Order history may be retained for 6 months for legal and audit purposes.

· You can request earlier deletion by contacting support.

As a Seldmade merchant, you have the right to:

· Access all data we hold about your account.

· Correct any inaccurate information.

· Request deletion of your account and associated data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be communicated via email and published on this page. Continued use of Seldmade after changes constitutes acceptance.
